We will leave the technical side of onboard computers, smartcards, etc. aside, but investments in technology appear to be a necessity for transport and logistics companies.
Our whole fleet has such onboard computers with tracking system.
Tracking the fleet by GPS
Using GPS means our support office staff can obtain data on each lorry at all times.
Our transport staff and dispatchers can then view details such as:
- where a lorry is currently located
- whether the driver is driving, resting, loading or unloading
- if the driver is in a queue
- whether there are hold-ups or other traffic congestion at national borders
- the (average) speed of the lorry transport
- Diesel consumption, CO2 emissions, etc.
As a customer you can follow the lorry, so also your goods transport in real time.
